Im Namen des Wendländischen Geschichts- und Altertumsvereins von 1905 e. V. möchte ich Sie ganz herzlich auf unserer Webseite willkommen
heißen. Das Amtsturm Museum Lüchow ist etwas Besonderes: Während sich alle Ausstellungsstücke und das neue Museumsgebäude im Eigentum des Vereins befinden, gehört der namenstiftende Turm, der
früher das Welfenschloss in Lüchow überragte und seit 1937 Teile des Museums beherbergt, der Stadt Lüchow (Wendland). Ein gemeinsames und seit vielen Jahren erfolgreiches Projekt der Stadt mit
und für ihre Bürger und unsere Besucher.
Mit der Neugestaltung des Museums 2025 wurden gutes Design mit zugänglichen Inhalten und schönen Objekten verknüpft und ein Museum geschaffen, das ein Magnet in der vielfältigen Museumslandschaft
des Wendlandes sein soll.
Museum & Verein leben von bürgerschaftlichem Engagement. Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Sie sich, durch den Besuch inspiriert, für ein Mitmachen in unserem Verein entscheiden möchten. Der

On behalf of the Wendland Historical and Antiquarian Society of 1905, I would like to warmly welcome you to our website and, hopefully, soon to
our Amtsturm Museum Lüchow. The Amtsturm Museum Lüchow is something special: While all the exhibits and the new museum
building are owned by the association, the tower that gives the museum its name—which once towered over the Welfenschloss in Lüchow and has housed parts of the museum since 1937—belongs to
the city of Lüchow (Wendland). It is a joint project between the city and its citizens, as well as our visitors, that has been successful for many years.
With the redesign of the exhibition in 2025, good design was combined with accessible content and beautiful objects, creating a museum that is intended to be a visitor magnet within the diverse
museum landscape of the Wendland.
The museum and the association thrive on civic engagement. We would be delighted if, inspired by your visit, you decided to join our association.
